embarking into the neurodivergent universe

ADHD

Neurodiversity reminds us there is variation in how people intake and process information from their environment and society. It promotes understanding that this difference is not bad, nor is it a disorder. And, in actuality, variation between individuals is good.

ADHD is a type of neurodivergence—meaning the brain works differently, not deficiently. It’s not a reflection of intelligence nor a determinant of character.

One way to understand ADHD is perceiving its nature as a hunter’s brain living in a farmer’s world. Traits like curiosity, quick thinking, and responsiveness to new stimuli can be strengths—yet they don’t always align with systems built for consistency, routine, and long-term focus.
