Insurance & Payment
I currently accept CareFirst, BlueCross BlueShield, CIGNA and United Behavioral Health. I encourage all potential clients to contact their insurance company to verify I am covered under their specific plan, and to inquire as to what co-pay, co-insurance, or deductible they may be responsible for.
In order to maintain up-to-date standards of care and continue providing accessible care within the in-network model, a Practice Operational Fee of $25 is added to each session’s invoice. This fee helps cover essential non-clinical costs and cannot be billed to insurance.
If you have an insurance plan that I do not accept then I am considered an “out-of-network provider,” and you may be eligible for reimbursement by your insurance company at the rate your policy cites. Claim forms for insurance companies are easily found on most insurance web sites and can be submitted via e-mail or fax to your insurance provider.
It is important to keep in mind that there are benefits to not using your insurance to pay for services. Insurance companies require a diagnosis which is then documented on your medical record.
*The out- of- pocket rate is $135.00 per 60 minutes.
